Llandudno North Wales

Llandudno Beach and Promenade

Llandudno is often called the 'Queen of Welsh Resorts' and this is for good reason. The town is the largest coastal resort in North Wales and is perfectly framed between the Great Orme and its neighbour, the Little Orme.

The long Victorian promenade is unspolit by the passage of time and frames a beautiful crescent bay looking out towards the Irish Sea. Llandudno Pier, which is one of the longest Victorian piers in the United Kingdom adds to the glamour of the location and is well worth a visit for beautiful views of Llandudno's bay and the Great Orme.

Conwy Castle is just ten minutes from Llandudno

Llandudno is ideally situated as a base for exploring the wider area. The historic walled town of Conwy is just 5 minutes drive from Llandudno and is a designated world heritage site and home to Conwy Castle which is one of North Wales most visited tourist attractions.

Further afield you can venture down the Conwy Valley and stop off at the wonderful Bodnant Gardens which has over 80 acres of ornamental gardens and woodland to explore. Cross the Conwy River and visit the Roman Spa and Trefiew Woolen Mills.

Keep going further down the Conwy Valley and the historic town of Llanrwst beckons with its ancient bridge, and just minutes beyond that the wonderful mountains of the Snowdonia National Park stretch into the distance beginning with the village of Betws y Coed.

All are within easy reach by car from Llandudno or alternatively take one of the many organised coach excursions from the town and enjoy an ideal day out.
