Beaumaris North Wales
The town of Beaumaris is located on the east coast of Anglesey with distant views to the mountains of Snowdonia and Llandudno's Great Orme. Beaumaris is approximately 15 minutes by car from Menai Bridge. Parking is available within the town either close to the castle or on the seafront although a small charge does exist.

The town's main feature is it's castle which was built during the reign of Edward I in the 13th century and the structure remains mostly intact to this day. The castle is open to visitors most days of the year and provides a fascinating insight into life in the Middle Ages.
The town is a popular tourist area on the island with its many attractions and beautiful views and is easily reached and well signposted via the main north Wales A55 dual carriageway.
Beaumaris Attractions
It is without a doubt that the primary attraction in Beaumaris is Beaumaris Castle however as well as the castle visitors to the town should pay a visit to the Beaumaris Gaol and discover what life was like on Anglesey for Victorian prisoners. The attraction is open from 10.30am to 5pm each day and admission is £3.50 per adult.
Also of interest is Beaumaris Courthouse which is one of Anglesey's most famous buildings. The courthouse was built in 1614 and was used to try prisoners for hundreds of years. Admission to the Courthouse costs £3 per adult and £2.25 for children and seniors.
Close to the centre of the town and opposite Beaumaris Castle is the Museum of Childhood Memories which is a walk down memory lane for adults and children alike with a variety of displays featuring children's toys from bygone times.
